New to rotation on the station is the latest from Liverpool band Dropstitch. The song is called “Giants Kingdom” and it’s a follow up to their previously released single, “Limerence,” which you might have heard also in rotation. The band’s sound possesses elements of Post-Hardcore blended with Hard Rock and Metal. One of my favorite independent music discoveries of the year. The layers of synthesizers in the mix gives the song “Giants Kingdom” a giant sound. With only two singles out so far (as far as I can tell); this is a great band to find as an early adopter. Keep up with their live shows and sign up for their email list on their official website HERE.
Hear Dropstitch and more during “New Arrivals,” “Heavy Stuff,” and “Rock Sauce” timeslots.
About “Giants Kingdom” in the words of the band:
The song draws on the history of European witch trials, using the prosecutions to capture that same hopelessness: an impossible test with two routes to the same end, drown, and be proven innocent only in death, or survive, and be executed as proof of guilt.
