Minneapolis based musician Zaq Baker is no stranger to the station. From “Peonies” to “Victorious” to a personal favorite of mine “Isolation Chic,” he’s a regular in rotation. With his latest song “Petulant,” however, we have broken new ground as it is also available on Jukebox! I’m ever-so-delighted to refer to him now as one of the station’s “Jukebox Heroes.” And this latest track just might just so happen to be my favorite of his so far. It is a somber and introspective Alternative Rock song delivered in a way that I can only describe as “signature” to that of Zaq Baker. I’m a guitar oriented type of listener, so in this track the droning guitar is something I really keyed in on. The song is from his recently released album, “Your Heart Will Thank You.” A fitting title indeed. Now streaming everywhere.
