Misty Route from Athens, Greece has added their latest single “Blind God” to Jukebox in support of the upcoming album “Ethos” coming out March 20th, 2026 courtesy of our good friends at Bitume Productions!

“Blind God” is a nice blend of prog, some metal, and straight forward Hard Rock. I would almost go the way of saying there’s a Post Rock element to it, if not for the lyrical content being a bit more in the forefront of things than in most Post Rock. The vocals certainly sit in the mix in a way that adds an atmospheric vibe similarily to Post Rock when vocals aren’t actually omitted, however, in the case of “Blind God,” the lyrics and vocals are definitely a driving force that takes the song into dark depths in a very intentional way. Making it more of a Metal tune in my opinion. Here’s how the band describes it:

“The concept of the song revolves around the existence of God, through the eyes of a child who tries to understand the world and explain the pain that is everywhere around us every day. What are the true intentions and what are the real powers of God? If God is that powerful, why doesn’t he make this world a little more fair? Could God be a human invention that serves specific purposes, such as people’s need for comfort and hope in difficult times or the intentions of the powerful to manipulate the masses? Is God ultimately man himself?”
