I have some neat updates to put out there regarding the world of Jukebox. We’re seeing lots of regular radio submissions daily, and a steady influx of Jukebox opt -ins which is exciting and always welcomed. This might the last “build” update for a while because we’re in a good spot to let the inertia run it’s course for a while while we re-factor things and prepare endpoints for the mobile app.
One recent update I’d like to make note of is the inclusion of Podcasts on the station. In the “Podcasts” tab you can listen to featured episodes by independent music related shows that have partnered with AMS to share their content on the site. Big thanks to TopSound, Sound and Vision, The Scene Projects, and The Indy Hookup for sharing their content.

In different, but somewhat related news, AMS Radio now has a second channel to tune into. Navigating to the “Listen” tab will take you to “The Mother Ship” by default. The Mother Ship is the primary, traditional online radio station, all music and no ads, that highlights Jukebox eligible songs when applicable. Broadcasted through Live365, fully licensed, all that jazz. If logged in with an AMS account, you can now also browse the “more channels” button and find a channel called “The Pirate Ship.” The Pirate Ship is a channel of Jukebox only songs. Meaning, you’re only going to hear songs from artists who have opted in to be played there, with the specific intent on showcasing music that can be purchased with Jukebox tokens. In addition to Jukebox only songs, there will be periodic breaks in schedule to broadcast the latest episodes from our Podcast partners.
