AMS Radio Top 10 November 2023

If you thought last month’s Top 10 was spooktacular, well buckle up buckeroo. In fact, seeing as how the current month’s Top 10 is sourced from new releases that occur in the previous month, you are setup to let that candy hangover ride out a little while longer with some of the cuts from this month’s list!

Nevertheless, time marches on to usher in the Fall. That sounded a bit metalcore. Let me clarify, I’m referring to Autumn. Pumpkin spice, cornucopias, American Football, Turkey, all that jazz. This month I’m also throwing a curve ball at you with a “flex” (dusting off my fantasy football terminology). That flex being the song “Daylight” by Marc Schuster. It was released on a compilation in tribute to the band Failure and was released everywhere except Spotify (… also in tribute to the band).

“Daylight” will be on all the playlists except the Spotify one. Not to fret though, because in place of that track on the Spotify list, is the phenomenal track called “Indigo” by Lewis Coleman that I recently wrote about on the blog.

Where does one discover all these fantastic artists that grace the monthly Top 10 playlist, one might ask? Well, it is indeed a massive undertaking every month. There are so many communities of independent artists that lift each other up and make these songs visible. It’s a wonderful thing.

The Top 10 is intended to springboard that inertia. No real “rankings” per se, I am not charting or anything like that. In fact, you’ll find the order of songs in the playlist may vary from streaming service to streaming service. The Tweetcore community, the NAS (New Artist Spotlight) community, and the Onlythehost community alone are incredible resources for discovering new and independent music.

Icing on the cake, tracks are also sourced from artists that submit directly to AMS Radio via Daily Playlists and artists I am assigned to write about on the Less Than 1000 Followers blog as well.
