Treat yourself!

… to some excellent independent music that came across the AMS Radio radar over the last month!

Don’t know about you, but I went through just a smidge of burnout this last month. Nevertheless, I was able to decompress a bit, center the “chi,” and still have more than enough music at my fingertips to go through to compile a list of 10 songs that I came across that I think everyone should check out. It’s remarkable how much great music is out there, always flowing, all the time. Fishing out a Top 10 list month-to-month is something that will never be a dry well. Certainly, for the foreseeable future. I’ve already caught wind of releases coming out as early as tomorrow that will be in the mix for sorting next month. This month’s list is quite the mash-up of things I’ve heard about via the ever-expanding NAS community, the overwhelmingly excellent Tweetcore community, submissions from Daily Playlists, and even blog pieces I have written and scheduled, but haven’t not posted yet from my buds at Hard N Heavy playlists. When I think about all the stuff I write for as well as read about from other writers at LT1KF and a new-to-me site called GetMusic.FM (more on that later in another post coming soon); I am actually quite torn about how to keep it at just ten!!

  1. I fully empathize with you about burnout; I went through a similar bout of it myself this past January & February, during which I managed to write only 8 reviews.

    1. I recall Jeff, and I remember also trying to advise you to keep positive and give yourself breaks and treat yourself well so I guess I need to dose myself with a bit of my own medicine and not be a hypocrite 🙂 Ah. Worklife balance. Such an important thing.
